WHAT ARE THE YORKLYN DAY HOURS?
12 to 4 pm

WILL THERE BE SHUTTLES?
Due to COVID 19 restrictions, there will be no shuttles in 2021. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the walking paths that extend from the Center for the Creative Arts by the old Snuff Mills (past Garrison’s Cyclery and Dew Point Brewing Co.) to the Yorklyn Bridge Trail and up to Auburn Heights.

WHERE CAN I PARK?
Limited FREE parking is provided at the Auburn Heights event lot (3000 Creek Rd) and at Center for the Creative Arts (410 Upper Snuff Mill Row & Rt.82).

ARE THERE MAPS & A SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES?
A map and schedule will be posted on the website and Facebook page for download the day prior to the event.

IS THERE AN EVENT ADMISSION CHARGE?
No! The event is free, but fees are required for certain activities, including fees for rides (one ride: $3.50/adult or $2.50/child) in the antique autos and trains at Auburn Heights (though the museum and grounds are open free of charge), and a fee ($8) for tours of the Auburn Heights mansion.

CAN I PAY WITH A CREDIT CARD FOR FOOD, STUFF, WHATEVER?
Due to poor/nonexistent cell service, vendors may prefer or require cash. Credit cards may be used for tickets and purchases at Auburn Heights and Center for the Creative Arts (as well as other Yorklyn businesses that are open on event day), but vendors at the Yorklyn Bridge Trail will use their own discretion… so come prepared with some old-fashioned cash.

ARE THERE ATMs?
No. Please stop in Hockessin, Greenville or Kennett Square for the nearest ATM options en route.

CAN I BRING MY PETS?
To the Yorklyn Bridge location — yes, but please note that pets must be leashed, and owners must clean up after them.

To the Auburn Heights Steamin’ Day — no; due to the rides and very small children involved, we ask that you leave your furry friends at home.

To the Center for Creative Arts — yes, outdoors (but they must be on leash, and owners must clean up after them), but pets are not permitted inside the building, unless it is a service animal.

IS SMOKING PERMITTED?
Nope! Don’t even think about it

WHERE IS LOST AND FOUND?
Lost and Found is located at the main information & first aid booth at the Yorklyn Bridge Trail.

WHERE IS FIRST AID?
The First Aid tent is located at Yorklyn Bridge Trail. First Aid assistance is also available at the Center for the Creative Arts and Auburn Heights; please approach a volunteer for assistance.

WHERE ARE THE RESTROOMS?
– Yorklyn Bridge Trail (handicapped porta potty here along with regular porta potties)
– Auburn Heights (handicapped bathrooms available)
– Center for the Creative Arts (handicapped bathrooms available)

IS THERE A RAIN DATE FOR THE EVENT?
No. Yorklyn Day will be a rain or shine event!
